Kokkinos S.A, based in Kalymnos Island, began its operation way back in the late 1800’s focusing in the collection of superior quality natural sponges. Being extremely dynamic in sales in Greece and abroad, the company decided to create its first brand.
The brand name “Kalyspongea” was created having in mind the international fame that the Kalymnian sponge divers enjoy. Therefore we devised a brand name that consists of two parts: the name of Kalymnos Island and the suffix –spongea that is found in many scientific names of sponge species. The tagline of the brand: “Kalymnian Sponge & Sea Shell Experts” highlights the knowledge and experience of Kokkinos S.A in its field.
The logo design draws inspiration from the old diving suits and encompasses a subtractive depiction of a sponge. The dark blue color was chosen as a reminder of the depths of the sea the sponge divers work at. The package is manufactured by recycled paper in order to highlight the naturalness of the product. The quality seal design, in the shape of old ship steering wheels, carries the message “Kokkinos S.A., Quality Sponges Since 1956” thus further reassuring the consumer regarding the quality of the brand.
H εταιρία Κόκκινος Α.Ε., με βάση την Κάλυμνο, ασχολείται με την αλίευση φυσικών σφουγγαριών ανώτερης ποιότητας από τα τέλη του 1800. Όντας μια εταιρία με μεγάλη δυναμική και μεγάλο όγκο εξαγωγών αποφάσισε να προχωρήσει στη δημιουργία του πρώτου της Brand.
Θέλοντας να υπενθυμίσουμε στο μυαλό του καταναλωτή τη διεθνή φήμη της Καλύμνου στην αλιεία σφουγγαριών δημιουργήσαμε το brand name «Kalyspongea», συνθέτοντας ένα όνομα που συνδυάζει την Κάλυμνο με την κατάληξη –spongea που απαντάται σε πολλές από τις επιστημονικές ονομασίες ειδών σφουγγαριού. Η υπογραφή του brand: Kalymnian Sponge & Sea Shell Experts τονίζει τη γνώση και την εμπειρία της εταιρίας στο αντικείμενο της.
Ο σχεδιασμός του λογοτύπου είναι εμπνευσμένος από τα πρώτα σκάφανδρα των δυτών και περικλείει μια αφαιρετική γραφιστική αποτύπωση ενός σφουγγαριού. Το σκούρο μπλε χρώμα ως χαρακτηριστικό του βάθους της θάλασσας που γίνεται η αλιεία ενώ το οικολογικό χαρτί που επιλέχθηκε για τη συσκευασία κάνει άμεση αναφορά στη φυσικότητα του προϊόντος. Η σφραγίδα εγγύησης ποιότητας, σχεδιασμένη έχοντας κατά νου τα παλιά τιμόνια των καραβιών, με το μήνυμα Kokkinos S.A., Quality Sponges Since 1956 ενισχύει περαιτέρω την αίσθηση σιγουριάς που πρέπει να νιώθει ο καταναλωτής για την ποιότητα του προϊόντος.
